Syria's General Establishment for Cereal Processing and Trade, or Hoboob, canceled a deal to export 200,000 metric tons of wheat to Egypt, but negotiations are ongoing concerning a further 500,000 tons previously agreed upon, Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry said Tuesday.

Qatar Meat and Livestock Company's (Mawashi ) net profit rose by 50 per cent to QR 4.34m in the first half of this year compared to QR2.13m in the corresponding period in 2006.
